A software daemon failure caused 47,147 lost requests (out of 7,064,192) over a 26 minute period. Normal service continued for more than 99% of requests. Our support team was immediately alerted to the issue at 14:19hrs UCT and it was resolved by 14:45hrs UTC. The cause of the problem was identified and a solution has been implemented to prevent a reoccurrence.
